Like most of the state, Villahermosa has a tropical climate.
Temperature, during spring and summer, reaches up to 40 °C and
humidity during the same period is about 90%. In the short winter,
climate is very humid and temperature decreases to around 15 °C .
The most remarkable season of
the year is spring, as the framboyan guayacan and all the tropical
vegetation flower, adding to the city a beautiful sense of joy on
the major avenues.
With an annual average
temperature of 26°C Celsius and an average precipitation of 1500 mm
per year, the City of Villahermosa, capital of the State of Tabasco,
is characterised for its warm and humid weather.
Located in the centre of the state, the capital of Tabasco is unlike
the other cities and towns of the region due to its lower rate of
pluvial precipitations; although, they are abundant and persistent
during the summer anyway.
The heat peaks in Villahermosa appear in May, while December through
March present the coolest days of the year, which allow travellers
to pleasantly tour the attractions of this destination.
A tropical humid weather is predominant in the rest of the State of
Tabasco. The minimum temperature is of 10°C Celsius, being the
coldest months December and January, and the maximum is of
40°Celsius; the annual average is of 25°Celsius.
Rain showers soak the territory of Tabasco from June to March, and
they are strong and intense, reaching an annual average of 2000 mm;
thus, this is one of the places with the heaviest pluvial
precipitations on the entire planet.
